Rachel Benjamin, is a second year clinical MSW student at the School of Social Policy and Practice. She currently interns at a safe haven for survivors of domestic and intimate partner violence as part of her placement with Women Against Abuse. Rachel enjoys working in various capacities with adolescents and, most recently, was part of the emotional support team at Freire Charter high school. She is on track to pursue a school social work certification. Rachel's clinical and research interests include providing educational resources to young people about teen dating violence, using trauma-informed and expressive arts therapies with individuals and their families, and determining best practices for supporting undocumented survivors of intimate partner violence.
