Mira Bajaj is a junior studying Cognitive Science with a concentration in Computation and Cognition. She is very interested in promoting gender equality in STEM fields (that is, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Prior to working at the Ortner Center, she worked with Girls Who Code, the National Center for Women and Information Technology, GenHERation, and ProjectCSGIRLS to promote the involvement of women in STEM and in leadership. At the Ortner Center, Mira is analyzing the #YesAllWomen tweets that trended following the May 2014 Isla Vista killings.

 

Mira hails from South Carolina and is proficient in German, Java, Python, OCaml, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. She is the recipient of the RIT Innovation and Creativity Award.
