Social Policy & Practice

Alison Fedoris is a second year MSW/MSSP student at the School of Social Policy and Practice. Hailing from Pottstown, Pennsylvania, Alison worked for Chapin Hall at the University of Chicago, supporting researchers and policy analysts in translating their work for circulation. When living in Seattle, Alison worked as an Employment Consultant for people with developmental disabilities, working both as a job coach and job developer in the community. Alison, who enrolled in Prof. Sorenson's course on violence & abuse through the life span, is interested in better understanding the ways in which intimate partner violence affects marginalized groups, especially people with disabilities, and how both policy and direct service can support these individuals.
