Lauren Lockwood is a violence prevention educator in higher education student affairs. She currently works as the Office on Violence Against Women Grant Project Coordinator at The Claremont Colleges, a consortium of five private undergraduate institutions and two private graduate institutions in Claremont, CA. At The Claremont Colleges, Lauren manages a 3-year federal grant, chairs a grant working group of 16 colleagues from the consortium campuses, community rape crisis center, and local law enforcement, and leads staff trainings and student education on sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, and stalking prevention and response. Prior to this role, Lauren worked as a full-time survivor advocate at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and as an instructor of Writing and Gender Studies at the University of Southern California.
